In a funk.....and no I'm not stoned. After being in school for the last 17 years, and not having anything lined up for the fall, I find it difficult to get out of the post school funk. I give myself a lot of credit for getting out of school in four years, but I keep asking myself one question, "Did I learn anything? In retrospect, I realize I have learned a lot about Metropolitan Politics, Constitutional Law, and the roles of police in our society, but these are just facts and figures. These facts are all fine and dandy if they are being applied to a job, but I don't have one yet. So, I ask myself the question again, "Did I learn anything? Now in a social context, I didn't get past the freshman seminar. In high school, I knew people but I didn't hang out with them on a Saturday night. In college, I didn't really make an effort to meet people until my junior year. Only then did I attempt to get involved with campus clubs and activities. On the relationship front, I've done squat. I have never approached anything even close to a serious relationship. I have met a few women who I would like to know a little bit better, but the only problem is that they are located on the East Coast. Maybe I am too picky, but I do believe good things come to those who wait. I've done too much in my short life to be left floating along, somebody please toss me a paddle! WDR
