Fawell Fatwa or What the F!!!!! JD2B has a post discussing a new Law School that would train lawyers to take on antiabortion, anti-gay marriage, and conservative reich (oops, I meant right) issues. The classes at Liberty Law school will fuse the bible with the Constitution in order to prove what is "morally right". Uh, what happened to separation of church and state, what about the quote saying, "we are a nation of laws, not of men", and what about the ability to see many different sides of an issue to understand its many complexities and nuances. The article quotes Joe Conn from the Americans United for separation of Church and State (a good group by the way) stating "when Fawell talks about using the legal system to advance his his religious beliefs, I get a whiff of the Taliban." I agree, and anyone who thinks their religious beliefs should be forced upon others needs to take the blinders off of their brain! WDR
