Now making daily appearances! It’s funny when people ask you to speak at your school. I was asked a couple of weeks ago to speak at Comm Week, one of the "big deal weeks" where students are exposed to issues, job opportunities, and personalities in the communication field. Our panel discussion was on Randall v. BSA, Orange County Council, INC. and how it was perceived in the media. To be honest, the presentation went extremely well. We spoke to a packed house, and many of those in the audience asked questions on what occurred. It is funny how an eleven-year period of my life has been boiled down to a single paragraph in most textbooks. Most who read the textbooks have no idea I have the same class with them, and when I finally mention how I "sued the Boy Scouts" they want some proof. I am usually reluctant to talk about the case but if people are willing to listen to me, and I have a chance to do so, I don't mind talking about it. As for today, my level of participation was no more then filling in the blanks, but I still feel like the presentation went well. Now if any law schools would like to hear from me, Please let me know!!!!! ---WDR
