From the "Why I would rather do it myself department." I had two experiences today which really make me afraid of the capability of my fellow Man (Woman, dog, sheep... Whatever, everyone gets the point). First Off: I had to meet with a group of people today concerning a GROUP project. (I despise group projects!!!) 1 person did the reading (me), 2 total people reviewed the lecture (includes me) and no one bothered to bring in any printed research (my bad). Also what happened to punctuality? Another member and I wanted 30 minutes for the rest to show up (30 minutes I could have used to catch up on my Crime and Pop Culture reading!!!). by the time we were done with the meeting we were more confused then when we started! Second Off: I hate having my car repaired by Pep-Boys (or any other major repair chain). The first quotes are usually way too small. They have lousy communication with their customers (6 phone calls 6 different quotes). And for the kicker, the last two "Maintaince Issues" on the receipt. Yep, my car is a goner, has no resale value what so ever and the manufacturer stopped making the parts. In both these cases, I put my trust in other people to be professional and capable, but in reality, it is trust my family and no one else! I have always preferred to do things myself even if it means taking twice as long, or costing twice as much. I hear the train a' coming, it's rolling around the bend......
