From the Bookshelf Currently I am reading the book Newjack . For anybody who is curious about the ins and outs of the notorious Sing Sing Prison in New York, Newjack will certainly unveil more about the prison system then what the public is aware. Connovers descriptions of prisoner interactions, his numerous assignments in the prison, and his attempt to live a double life of a journalist and Correctional Officer, show how different life behind bars really is for both the Grays and the inmates. This book was not something that I though about reading, but my brother had it lying around, and I thought it would be an interesting read before the semester began. It is definitely worth the time. On another note, "College Senior with good computer and communication skills seeks a professional job. Pay is negotiable and is willing to undergo on the job training. Preferably a job with the California Courts system or local law firm. All offers will be considered. Student is willing to stay on after completion of degree. Employers who pay for post graduate education will be greatly appreciated (Student plans on attending law school)". Why is it I have friends who are able to get lucrative internships, while I am working a job which has no other benefits except for a little income? The little light has turned on in my head, now is the time for me to start looking for something else, something with a little more umoph and a lot more polish. Something that would not only challenge me as an employee but would give me an intellectual challenge and personal development as well. ![]() Fore!!!
