BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! (Big Breath) BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Paul Kariya is going to get smashed in Colorado. First off he is -3 for the season (and he remained the team captain, what a joke), second if the dynamic duo of Kariya and Selanne is supposed to be so good, why in the world would paul take $1.3 million and Selanne take 5+ Mil. ( The hazards of free agency). The Ducks still have to be able to secure Giggy, losing Kariya may help, but Colorado is still shopping for a Goalie. Mr. Eisner, if you even care, good teams win when they spend good money for good players (New Jersey, Colorado, Detroit, Dallas, Etc...). On another note, the 11 percent increase on ticket prices will again price alot of potential fans out of the pond. Fans would spend the money only if they got to see a team that has the ability to make the playoffs AND contains talent. Signing Federov would be a good step (and would also banish the Kings to the bottom of the Western Conference again). You gotta pay to play. The same rule applies no matter what sport. A-Rod makes a quarter billion dollars and is elected to the all-star team every year. The Lakers spent millions on Shaq and Kobe and were able to win the title three years in a row. The money however has to be spent on quality players. The Wild were able to reach the conference finals with a payroll of $22 million. Would a multi- million dollar deal for Federov be worth it? Definately if it puts the Ducks in the playoffs again. If he gets hurt, he would join a long line of flawed stars to come to Orange County Pro teams (Mo Vaughn for example). "Thats just my opinion, of course I may be wrong"- Dennis Miller Later WDR. "....Things are so desperate at the Ducks front office, GM Brian Murray was seen buring number 9 jerseys for warmth!" (Just kidding)
